Mrs. Jean Kelley, age 96, passed away early Monday, July 14, 2025, in Lexington. She was born October 5, 1928 in Reagan to the late Robert and Minnie Freeman Wright. She was a retired teller for Lexington’s First Federal & Loan and a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She enjoyed knitting, was an avid sports fan, and just enjoyed life to the fullest! She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James T. Kelley; three sisters, Elizabeth Kennedy, Carolyn Moore, and Kathryn Phillips; and a niece, Stephanie Ross. Survivors include her nieces, Norma Jones and Sherry Gish; her nephew, Ted Phillips; and her sister-in-law, Patsy Kelley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 1 PM – 4 PM.
