Jean Eutiona Romans “Momma Jean”,75, Cypress Inn, TN., passed away Friday, October 3, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, October 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee with Gary Cosby officiating. Interment will be in Whitten’s Crossroads Cemetery, Iron City, TN.
Jean was the owner of Momma Jean’s Restaurant and a 16-year breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Renee Burleson; son-in-law, Justin Lee Burleson; sisters, Sally Pauline Franks and Shirley Anne Wallace; parents, Tilmon and Arie Smelser.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Mack Romans of Cypress Inn, TN.; niece, Celena A. Tovar (Jesus) of Tuscumbia; nephews, Jimmy Charuhas of Rogersville and Corey Speegle of Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Kayden Alan Dean Place (Tuscumbia), Joselyn Aveline Tovar (Tuscumbia); and several nieces and nephews on Floyd’s side of the family.
Pallbearers are Kayden Place, Jimmy Linville, Jesus (Chuy) Tovar, Corey Speegle, Jonathan Romans and Jimmy Charuhas.
