He was a member of Midfield Baptist Church, and attended Antioch Baptist Church
Visitation is Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL.. Funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Cayce Harrison officiating, burial to follow in Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackleburg, Al..
He is survived by his wife, Doris Mae Price Baggett; children, Mitchell Wade (wife Pamela) Baggett, Shari Leigh (husband Daryl) Lewis, Michael Alan (wife Sheynon) Baggett; brother, Grover (wife Florene) Baggett; sister, Sundra (husband Dallas) Hovatter; grandchildren, Morgan Daniel (husband Matt) Mobley, Dustin Adam Lewis, Michael Blake Baggett, Matthew Ryan Baggett, James Derek Lewis, Bailey Alisa Baggett, Emma Brooke Baggett, Jarrett Taylor Baggett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lona Baggett; infant sister, Geraldine Baggett and sister, Veva Baggett Floyd Smidth.
