Mr. Javier Dante Wiley age 30 of Cookeville, TN, died Saturday, February 06, 2021. He was born March 17, 1990, in Atlanta, GA, was an ammunition specialist with the Special Operations Command serving his country with the U.S. Army, was part of the Airborne division, and was deployed on 3 tours – 2 in Iraq and 1 in Syria. Mr. Wiley was of the Church of Christ faith and was preceded in death by his father Gregory Wiley, maternal grandfather Hugh Locke, and maternal grandmother Gwendolyn Joyce Locke.
Javier is survived by his mother Shauna Wiley Samuel and her husband Brian, 2-year-old daughter Amryn Olympia Wiley, ex-wife Michelle Harding Wiley, sister and brother-in-law Che (Ian) Clausen, 3 step-sisters from Atlanta, niece Joelle Briggs, nephew Jackson Briggs, special aunt Jana Briggs and her husband Jon, numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of friends.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Orlando Westbrooks will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. The wearing of face masks is required by the family. No food gifts at the funeral home please.
