JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has tken the life of a Jasper man on March 21, 2025.
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Friday, March 21, has claimed the life of a Jasper man. Mason L. Wood, 34, was fatally injured when the 2019 Ford F-150 pickup he was driving left roadway, struck a tree and caught fire.
Wood’s body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science (ADFS), where his identity was later confirmed.
The crash occurred on Bennett Road near Zelles Road, approximately eight miles north of Jasper, in Walker County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
