Jason Wood (47) passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intelligence, and quiet strength. He was a loving husband to Denise Tosch Wood and a devoted stepfather to Zackary Tosch, Sophia (Riley) Sanders, and Xaiver Metz, who brought him great joy.
Born to Dennis and Jill Wood in Flint MI, Jason grew up surrounded by the love of his siblings: Jessica (John) Glann, James Wood, Josh (Leah) Wood, and Michael Wood. He was also a cherished uncle to Trent (Storm), Clayton (Bri), John III, and Kaylona, as well as a beloved member of his extended family.
Jason had a sharp mind and a passion for technology, often building his own computers and immersing himself in the world of gaming, particularly on Xbox. He found joy in Star Wars, Dragon Ball Z, and Marvel stories, appreciating the rich storytelling and adventure they offered. Despite his reserved nature, Jason had a heart full of warmth. He was known for his kindness, patience, and quiet resilience, never one to complain and always putting his loved ones first. A devoted believer in Jesus Christ and attended the Assembly of God.
Above all, Jason was a wonderful dad—a guiding presence and a source of unwavering support. His love for his family was evident in every moment spent together, and his memory will live on in their hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Destiny Church (615 N Main Street in Columbia.) Visitation with family and friends will be from 11am – 1pm. The memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
