Jason “Uncle Jack” Hagood of Hazel Green passed away on Friday at the age of 47.
Jason was a cut-up and prankster who loved making others laugh. He enjoyed drag racing and watching Pro Mods, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, watching Ghost Adventures, and cheering for Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Bonnie Mae Hagood and Robert and Therisa Gustafson.
Surviving family members include his father, David Hagood; his mother, Patricia Gillard; his sister, Sara Bruder; his brother, Christopher Long; his niece, Raychelle Hagood; his nephews, Brayden Bruder, Brylen Bruder, and Bryce Long; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 6 p.m. Pastor Lon Ostrzycki will officiate.

Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart.
