Jaquita Ann Stanford Morris, 54, died August 24, 2017 at NMMC Hospice Unit after a brief illness. Ann was born on January 27, 1963 in Baldwyn to Gerald Wade Stanford and Serena Frances Smith Stanford. A Christian, Ann loved working and enjoyed cleaning houses until she became disabled. Ann was a gentle, simple spirit who loved life, her family and her God.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 4 PM today (Sat. 8/260 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bishop Shane Ray of Open Door Worship Center officiating. Private family burial will follow in Mayfield Cemetery in Saltillo. Visitation will be from 2 PM-service time today at Holland-Tupelo Chapel which is honored to be serving the family.
Ann is survived by her husband of 25 years, Chester Morris of Bissell. 2 sons, Kendall Queen and Michael Miller. Her mother, Serena Stanford. Her brother, Randy, 3 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 6 step children 3 sisters in law, 2 brothers in law and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Wade Stanford and by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Willie Gardner, Andrew Stanford, Alex Morris, Dale Stanford, Steve Stanford, Chester Morris and Corey Sandler.
