Janis Ruth Combs Plunket, 83, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. The funeral service will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Tuscumbia Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. in the adjacent annex. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Cemetery, Florence.
Janis was a member of the Tuscumbia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Susie Combs and brother, Glen Combs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bob Plunket; sons, Mark Plunket (Donna), Paul Plunket (Margaret) and Chris Plunket (Felicia); daughters, Donna Murphy (Randall) and Laurie Mitchell (Stuart); brother, C.V. Combs; sisters, Jewell Ozbirn, Geneva Lawyer and Shirley Murray; 15 grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) Plunket, Jennifer (Jason) Tidwell, Laura Beth Mitchell, Rachel Plunket, Daniel (Misti) Murphy, Katy (Chris) Richardson, Leigh Ellen (J.D.) Thomas, Anna (Andrew) Burdg, Zachary Plunket, Sara (Alex) Van Senus, Bailey Plunket, Julie Plunket, Jessa Plunket, Bob Alan Plunket and Kate Plunket; and 10 great-grandchildren.
