Janine Joyce Worsham Pigg (Joy) passed away at NHC Healthcare on Friday July 12, 2024 at the age of 84. Joy was born in Pulaski on November 15, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of Giles County. Her career included time working at Genesco and being a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother Suzanne Kirkpatrick Worsham and her husband Cecil Wayne Pigg.
She is survived by her 3 children Cecilia (Johnny) Jackson, Bobby (Michelle) Pigg, and Mike (Karla) Pigg; 4 grandchildren Lydia Shelton, Jon Jackson, Karsten Pigg, Kamilia Brewer; 7 great-grandchildren Jack, Sara Jaye, Paisleigh, Kyleigh, Tenleigh, Hunter, Hayden; Sister Kay (Donald) Ingram of Jackson, MS and other special family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, July 15th from 4-8 pm with funeral on Tuesday, July 16th at 11am at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with with Jon Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to the local sports organization of your choice.
