Janie Ruth Inmon Conlee, 89, passed away January 9, 2026, at NMMC in Tupelo. Janie graduated from Algoma High School. She lived in the Harmony Community in Pontotoc where she was a 4-H leader for many years. She was retired from working at Walmart. Her hobbies included gardening, oil painting, bird watching, sewing and quilting. She had an avid love for cats. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11:00am Monday, January 12, 2026, at Harmony Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors, daughter, Dana Marie Inmon of Pontotoc; stepdaughter, Cheryl Conlee of Oxford; and a brother, Thomas Earl Simmons of Weatherford, TX.
Preceded in death, Infant, Angela Faye Inmon; son, David Lamar Inmon; mother, Etoie Simmons; father, A.B. Simmons; sisters, Dorothy Simmons Cruse and Lottie Simmons Henderson and a stepdaughter, Lynn Conlee of Memphis.
Visitation, 5-8pm Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home and 10:00am until service time Monday, January 12, 2026, at Harmony Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
