Mrs. Janie Osment, age 59, of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 05, 2025. She was born on July 03, 1966 in McMinnville, was a member of Pearls of Christ Church, and was a Cosmetologist. Janie was a woman of extraordinary faith. Her love for the Lord and her family was her greatest priority. She was known for her gift as a hairstylist and considered it to be a calling of God. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael Joe and Joyce L. Wanamaker, sister Joyce Elaine (Dewey) Harris, and sister-in-law Janice Wanamaker.
Janie is survived by her husband of 25 years Chad Everett Osment, children Christy (Bradley) Hager, Tabitha (David) Cavanah, Donald Ross “Trey” Cox, III (Alyssa Barrett), and Terry Everett (Yoko) Osment, brother Michael Joe (Amy) Wanamaker, Jr., grandchildren Daniel Hager, Ridge Cavanah, Kyla Myers, and Zane Powers, the father of her children Donald Ross Cox, Jr. (Tressea Burger), her life-long best friend Roxann Denton Campell, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Janie had a close relationship to many special family members that she loved very much, two of them to be named being Wanda “Nuna” (Charles Henry) Killian and her great niece Alexis “Lexi” Novella Harris.
It was Janie’s wish to be cremated and no public services to be held.
