Janie Margaret Finley Beverly, 80, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home.
Mrs. Beverly lived in the Ardmore community for almost 20 years where she was a member of Westlawn Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her free time bowling and fishing as well as being an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling which led her to visit 49 states as well as Canada.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Nugie “Pee Wee” Beverly, parents, Gordon Finley and Goldia Baker Finley, one brother, Gary Finley Sr, one son-in-law, Rickey Woods, three brothers-in-law: Ronald Beverly, Wendell Beverly, and Gary Wayne Clark, five sisters-in-law: Joy Beverly, Joyce Beverly, Sharon Clark, Martha Beverly, and Connie Cothren Beverly, as well as one nephew, Gary Wade Finley, Jr.
She is survived by one son, Tim (Pat) Beverly, one daughter, Tina Woods, lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Finley, another sister-in-law, Judy Beverly, brothers-in-law, Lanis (Peggy) Beverly and Rayburn Beverly, in-laws, Harry “Rusty” (Linda) Lincoln, three grandchildren: Ashley (Zack) Carter, Alley (Justin) Fields, and Matthew (Leigha) Woods, as well as three great grandchildren, Makynzie Carter, Case Fields, and Colt Fields.
There will be a Visitation held for Mrs. Beverly at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled for the following day, Thursday, August 22, 2024, with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Golightly Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Bennett will officiate the service.
