Janie Hendrixson Oakley age 83 of the Snow Hill Community in Dowelltown TN died May 14, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center. Survived by son, Michael (Amy) Oakley; brother, Gwynn (Sharon) Hendrixson; granddaughters, Allyson (Tim) Dobbins and Sarah Ashton (BJ) Davis; 3 great-grandsons, Braxton, Brantlee & Ross; brother-in-law, Clarence Davenport; nieces & nephews, Donna, Diana, Darryl, David, Devin, Dawn, Dana & James Michael. Janie was preceded in death by her parents, James (Louise) Hendrixson and sister, Jimmie Davenport. Graveside service and interment will be 1:PM Tuesday May 20 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens 2700 McMinnville Highway, Smithville, TN 37166. Janie was a woman of deep faith and a fierce love for her family. She was a caregiver. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer/ Dementia research, in memory of Janie. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:AM until 12:45 at which time Ms. Oakley will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Oakley family.
