Janice Owens Profile PhotoJanice Owens, a beloved resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on February 29, 2024, at NHC. She was born on January 30, 1953, to the late Charles and Ada Wales in Columbia, Tennessee. Janice’s departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.

Janice was raised with a strong foundation in her faith within the Pentecostal Church, and this spiritual grounding remained a guiding force throughout her life. She was a woman of quiet strength, a homebody who found solace in the simplicity of life. Janice had a fondness for her own company and took joy in watching classic TV shows, with Gun Smoke and The Andy Griffith Show being among her favorites.

A lover of music, Janice found particular joy in the tunes of Elvis Presley, whose melodies resonated with her soul. She had a special affinity for dancing, and those who were fortunate enough to witness her on the dance floor were treated to a display of pure joy and grace.

Janice is survived by her brother, Jimmy Wales (Debbie); nephews, Charles Robert, Chris, and Jonah Wales, also mourn her passing. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ada Wales, who surely welcomed her with open arms in the afterlife.
