Born in Gideon, Missouri on September 10, 1941, Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She was married to the love of her life, Mike Meadows, Sr. in September 1974. He survives along with their son, Mike Meadows, Jr., daughter-in-law Karrie, and two cherished grandchildren Nathanael Meadows and Cici Meadows all of McMinnville, along with sister Wanda Manning of North Carolina and brother Noel Bell of Paintsville, KY. Janice was a professional hairdresser for over 50 years, at one time working for Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis, MO. She was a full-time caregiver to several family members throughout many decades. She was known for giving of herself tirelessly with warmth generosity. She gave of her time, her energy, and her heart-freely and without complaint. She loved playing canasta with her siblings and friends. She had a soft spot for babies. Her face would light up when holding a little one. Her family is so thankful for the outstanding care from all the nurses at Gentiva Hospice who were devoted to giving her such good care and compassion the last few months. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Christy Smartt for all her help as a special caregiver who went above and beyond, as well as the local Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness for their never-failing love, support and prayers and their willingness to quickly come to the aide of our family and give practical support and love to help ease our grief during this time.
