Mrs. Janice L. Womack, age 74, of McMinnville, TN passed away at her home on Friday, January 09, 2026. She was born on November 10, 1951 in McMinnville, TN, was a nurse, and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Janice was a loving and caring wife – it was love at first sight for her husband Jerry, mother, grandmother, and sister. She adored her grandkids, enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening. She was active on their farm and even liked to run and milk the cows. Most especially, Janice loved Jesus. She was faithful to read her Bible every day and prayed for each of family members daily.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Jerry Womack, sons Jeremy (Jennifer) Womack and Wesley (Jamie) Womack, brother Gary (Jean) Young, sister Joanie Bozeman, sisters-in-law Pat Crick, Delores Moore, Sue (Paul) Thomas, and Treva (Steve) Cornett, and grandchildren Ethan Womack, Addy Womack, Nathaniel Womack, Evan Womack, Colby Womack, and Kendal Womack. She was preceded in death by her parents Firman Edward and Essie Jewel Edmonds Young, brother William Edward (Wilma Jean) Young, and sister-in-law Peggy Adcock.
The funeral service for Janice Womack will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 12, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Dean Northcutt and Gannon Richesin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Old Bybee Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the Womack family will be held on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to her long-time caregivers Christie Dunlap and Holly McBride and also to Janice’s sister and sisters-in-law for their love, care, and attention that means so much.
