Janice Kay Vining Morgan, 69 of Sumiton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday June 28, 2024.
Sister Jan was retired after 32 years with the Social Security Administration. She was a member of Dora Church of God. She will always be remembered as a loving and faithful friend to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Willie Jean Vining, her sister, Pat Vining and her godmother, Lou “Nanny” Frazier.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Butch Morgan; son, Jeremy Morgan and wife Miranda; granddaughter, Gracie Morgan; great grandson, Westyn Allen Morgan; sisters, Wanda Goolsby and Jackie Flo York; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday July 2, 24 at 12:00 noon at Dora Church of God. Pastor Rick Levell and Rev. Don Stanton will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville. The family will receive friends from 11 am – 12 pm at the church on Tuesday.
