Janice Elizabeth Gray Holder Janice Holder, 90, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at Riverside Assisted Living, February 21, 2025.

Janice was born on March 30, 1934 in Florence to Jessie Gilbert and Pearl Esther Gray. She graduated from Coffee High School and attended The University of North Alabama. She worked as a teller for First National Bank of Florence.

Janice was a devoted wife and homemaker to her late husband of over 51 years, Robert (Bob) Holder. She was a faithful member of Grant Street Church of Christ for many years and later Austinville Church of Christ and Beltline Church of Christ.

Janice loved to read, cross stitch and crochet. She and Bob enjoyed square dancing. They were charter members of the 8er’s from Decatur square dancing club. She was completely devoted to her three granddaughters. She was an avid supporter of all their activities and attended every dance performance and sport activities for as long as she was able.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon DeCurtins (Michael) of Decatur and three granddaughters: Mary Grace, Aimae and Addy DeCurtins (all of Decatur). She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Eichelberger officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Michael DeCurtins, Hunter Royer, David Royer, Adam Jones and members of Beltline Church of Christ.

Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
