Janice Faye Rhoades Nixon ,72, of Boaz, AL passed from this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Funeral services will be at 11AM Friday, December 7,2018 at Albertville Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Kerry Simpson and Chris “Wormy” Wiseman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Chamblee, Josh McGuire, Matt Jones, Matt Stracener, Will Smith, Wesley Rhoades, Tony Nixon, Rocky Rhoades Jr, Gene Nixon. The family will visit with friends Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 6:30 PM-8:30PM at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown. Preceded in death by her parents, mother, Willie”Bill”Rhoades, father, William “Bill” Rhoades, brothers, Jim Rhoades, Jerry Rhoades, Joe Rhoades, great-grandchild, Kaelyn Faye Jones. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Nixon of Boaz, daughters, Angel (Brian) Satterfield of Albertville, Trista (Wayne) Chamblee of Geraldine, son, Kevin Nixon of Guntersville, sister, Diane (Conney) Stracener of Albertville, brothers, Kenneth “Buddy” (Nellie) Rhoades of Sardis, William “Jay” (Doris) Rhoades of Springville, Rocky (Denise) Rhoades of Albertville, grandchildren, Brian (Keri) Chamblee, Jordan (Josh) McGuire, Hali (Will) Smith, Morgan (Matt) Jones, Josie Nixon, Delanie Sampson, Kane Sampson, Miranda (Tommy) Weaver, great-grandchildren, Avery Benefield, Garrett Chamblee, Kimber Smith. The family requests that all guests please bring a Christmas ornament for a memorial tree and in lieu of flowers please make donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
