Janice Evelyn Snyder Lynch, age 68 passed away October 12, 2013 at her home.
She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruby Jewell Tidwell Snider. Her father died when she was 6 years old. Her mother married Robert Ray and he adopted her. She Graduated from Chester County High School and was married to Neal Lynch August 11, 1962 and they made their home in the Finger community of McNairy County. Janice worked at First State Bank in Henderson for 29 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs and a member of the McNairy Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Lynch is survived by her husband, Neal Lynch of Finger; a daughter, Terry Pitman and husband Scott of Rosemark, TN; three grandchildren, Shane, Taylor and Tanner Pitman, a step brother Ronnie Christopher and a niece, Sonia Smith, both Adamsville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Snyder her mother Ruby Snyder Ray, her adoptive father, Robert A. Ray and a sister, Betty C. Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Ben Martin and Bro. Allan McCall officiating, burial will follow in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs, TN.
Pallbearers to serve are Shane, Taylor, Tanner and Scott Pitman, Clay Garner and Brett Potter and honorary are Phil and Dwight Garner.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 3 PM until 9 PM on Sunday.
