Funeral Services for Mrs. Janice C. York, 71, of Crane Hill, Alabama will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 29 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 5 pm, Wednesday August 28 at the funeral home. Reverend Dale Banks will officiate and burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. York had been an inspector at the U.S.D.A.
Mrs. York is survived by her husband, Richard York, daughter Laurie (Isreal) Chacon of Houston, Texas, two sons, Bryan (Bethany) Pugh, of Hanceville and Cory York of Cullman.
Siblings include a sister, Nancy Middleton and a brother Roy Collins. Grandchildren include Chaiselyn LuQuire, Elizabeth White, Matthew Pugh, Jacob Blakely, Chance York, Victoria York and Nathaniel York. Great grandchildren include Eva and Fisher LuQuire and J.T. White.
Mrs. York is preceded in death by a son, Gregory Pugh, sisters Stella Rushing, Dot Phillips and Ruby Bonds, brothers Millard Connell and Henry Connell.
