Janet Tyler Connor – Obituary

Janet Tyler Connor, 82 of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on March 3, 2018.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jan was born in Kansas City, MO on June 5, 1935. She moved to Huntsville in August 1955. She was a longtime member at First Presbyterian Church where she was a life-time member of the Presbyterian Women, Treasurer of the Church Cookbook and a deacon. She was also a member of the Hospitality Club and worked as a docent at Constitution Hall Village. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at the University of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest A. and Dorothy T. Tyler, her brother Ernest A. Tyler II and her son Scott J. Connor.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Edward J. (Jack) Connor, her son Bryce Connor, her daughter Linda Howard (Woodward), daughter-in-law Cathy Connor, her 5 grandchildren Kelli Cohen (Adam), Ashley Connor, Tyler Connor (Ashley), Austin Howard, Connor Howard and her great-grandson Jackson Cohen.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9th from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary with Reverend Tara Bulger and Reverend Darryl Goldman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church and design
