Janet Renee Graber, age 66, passed away April 12, 2026, at her home in Huntsville, Alabama. An eight-year resident of Huntsville, Janet was born in Syracuse, Kansas in 1959. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bob and Norma Graber, and by her dear sister, Terinda Zajic.

Janet spent the early years of her life in Syracuse, surrounded by friends and a large extended family. Her parents later moved the family to Savannah, Missouri, where Janet graduated from Savannah High School. She attended Wichita State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

After college she began her 35-year professional career with Boeing in Wichita, Kansas as a software engineer working in Mission Planning, supporting the B-52 bomber platform. Janet then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she developed software in support of the B-1B Lancer and B-2 Spirit bomber platforms, advancing to Senior Software Engineer. After retiring from Boeing, Janet moved to Huntsville and worked for Northrop Grumman where she continued her commitment to building and deploying robust Defense Systems. She was well liked and respected for her technical skills and hard work.

During her years in Oklahoma City Janet attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a member of its choir. She was thrilled to be able to travel with the choir on many trips, performing in numerous exciting locations throughout Europe.

Janet is survived by her dear sister, Stashia Adams of Huntsville, as well as her brothers-in-law, Danny Adams and David Zajic. She was a doting aunt to her niece, Elizabeth Gray, and to her nephews, John Adams, Clifford Adams, and Tyler Adams. She also found delight in spending time with her great nieces, Leila and Mylie, and her great nephews, Weston, Warner, and Kavi.

Visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville on Saturday, April 18th, between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 p.m., immediately followed by a graveside service to be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville with Wade Graber officiating.
