Ms. Janet Lee McKelvey passed away on Sunday February 17th, 2019, from a brave, long battle with ovarian cancer.
Janet is survived by her parents, Jerry Thomas and Lois Ann Miller Yates, her children Nick McKelvey and Christy Pritchard (Brent Pritchard), and her siblings Debbie Waters, Marty Thomas, Mike Thomas, and Elizabeth Thompkins, and two grandchildren, Anna-Claire and Jenna Pritchard.
Janet was born on July 15th, 1959, in Huntsville, AL. She graduated from Butler High School and served 38 years with the City of Huntsville in the Public Works Department, retiring as a supervisor in 2016. She was a loving mother, Nana, aunt, daughter, and sister. Janet will be remembered as one who loved completely and selflessly without question and gave her all to her children and family.
Visitaton services are scheduled for 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tues., February 19th at Berryhill Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wed., February 20th at Berryhill with a graveside service to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank all friends and caregivers for their support, love, and help during this time.
