Funeral services for Janet Lee Mattox, 69, of Tishomingo, MS are set for Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – SOUTH with interment in Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024 5pm-8pm and Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 1pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – SOUTH. Bro. David Vanderford will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Raynie Vanderford, Newman Mattox, Jake Hardin, Schar Neu, David Vanderford, Dallis Hill and Charles Floyd. Born October 31, 1954 in Corinth, MS., Janet passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Janet was a member at New Temple Church of God and a retired factory worker. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, fishing, and working on cars and houses. Janet is survived by her son, Newman Mattox and wife Misty; grandchild, Jake Hardin and wife Breanna; brother, Raynie Vanderford; sister, Schar Neu; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Harley Mattox, Jr.; son, Jesse James Mattox; father, Bobby Joe “Jay” Vanderford; and her mother, Geraldine Vanderford.
