Janet Ellison Kilgore, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.
Ms. Kilgore is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Helen Ellison; and a daughter, Jeannie Kilgore.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa O’Brien (Randy); son, Keith Kilgore (Gina); granddaughters, Laura Kilgore, Whitney Layton (Greg), and Merissa Pearson (Adam); grandson, Tyler Kilgore; several great grandchildren; and even one great-great grandson; two sisters, Joan Simmons and Roslyn Whatley (Tom); and nieces and nephews who will all miss her terribly.
Ms. Kilgore was a devoted Christian and always cherished every moment with her family. She loved going to the beach and to honor her last wishes, Ms. Kilgore’s ashes will be scattered at the beach in Savannah.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Bynum Baptist Church. Anyone who knew and loved Ms. Kilgore is welcome to come honor her memory.
