Jane “Peewee” Cox, 86, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Jane was a longtime member of Mt. Glory Baptist Church and enjoyed attending whenever she was able. She was a talented woman who enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, puzzles, and flowers. In her free time, she loved talking on the phone and visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. Mrs. Jane is survived by her husband, Clifford Cox; her children, Diane Sparks (Rick) , Anita Tidwell (Donnie), and Cliff Cox (Jennifer); her sister-in-law, Cleo Weaver; her grandchildren, Anthony Jackson (Leighann), Megan Martin (Justin), Corey Tidwell (Ashley), Myshae Ashley (Jason), Zach Tidwell (Kelci), Brittany Lambert (Bryant), and Courtney Cox; her great-grandchildren, Bryce Jackson (Ashlyn), Jace Jackson, Brooklyn Martin, Brynlee Martin, Kinsley Martin, Kylee Martin, Caleigh Tidwell, Graydon Tidwell, Sara Scott, Atley Scott, Maedyn Ashley, Dak Ashley, Andi Ashley, Cassie Ashley, Kaylin Tidwell, Knox Tidwell, and Kolbi Tidwell; her niece, Pam Carson; and her nephew, Jimmy Mills (Cindy). She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and John R. Weaver, Sr.; her brothers, John R., JR., and Starkey Weaver; and her sisters, Christine Greene, Julia Mills, and Faye Miles. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Mark Daily. Pallbearers include Harry Bowman, Gary Kenaum, Jimmy Mills, David Whitfield, Anthony Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Bryant Lambert, and Justin Martin. Interment will be in Rutledge Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Jane’s honor to the Rutledge Salem Cemetery Fund.
