Mrs. Jane Alexander Fowler, age 70 of Cherry Log, Georgia died on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at her residence. She was born on December 25, 1943 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to her late parents Clint Alexander and Roberta Odil Alexander. Jane was a member of Ethridge United Methodist Church and attended Cherry Log Christian Church. She was a graduate of Lawrence County High School Class of 1961 and continued her education at the Draughton Business College. Following school she worked with the Nashville Life and Accident Insurance Company. Jane was an avid sports enthusiast with a deep love for baseball.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Woody D. Fowler of Cherry Log, sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Julie Fowler of Navarre, FL and Dwain and Serife Fowler of Fairfax Station, VA, daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Gary Dunn of Coppell, TX and Marie and Don Sheffer of Grand Prairie, TX, brother, Clint Crews Alexander, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, TN; 8 grand children; 7 great grand children.
Visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, TN on Thursday February 6th, 2014 from 11:00am-12:30pm. Graveside Services and interment will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, Tennessee.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday February 8th, 2014 at the Cherry Log Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. J. David Griffin officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to Cherry Log Christian Church 1149 Cherry Log Street Cherrylog, GA 30522 in memory of Mrs. Fowler.
