Jan Hugh Powers age 51 of Athens, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Powers was born November 4, 1961 in Limestone County to William Sidney Powers and Edith Mae West Powers.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 1:00 p.m., at Pleasant Point Cemetery with Tim Pepper officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Edith Powers; brothers, Lanny Powers, Mack Powers and Ray Powers.
Survived by a son, Sidney Powers; two brothers, Joe Powers and wife, Robbie and Mark Powers and wife, Trisha; sister, Suzette Henderson; sister-in-law, Barbara Powers; several nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.
