Funeral service for Jan Bowling Collier, 69, will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Blue Springs Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Thorne and Rev. Ken Collier officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home .

Mrs. Collier died on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 15, 1945, in Morgan County to Aubrey Paul Bowling and Mollie Jo Johnson Bowling. Mrs. Collier graduated from Cotaco High School in 1963. She married Don Collier, on May 29, 1965, at Blue Springs Baptist Church in Florette, Alabama. She was formerly employed by Calhoun Community College as a Secretary and was a Master Gardner. She was preceded in death by one son, Louis Mark Collier.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jewish Voice Ministries International.

One Daughter:
Leigh Anne Collier Swindell, (David), Priceville, AL

One Sister:
Joan Bowling Southern, Florette, AL

Five Grandchildren:
Nathan Collier,
Erin Collier,
Jonathan Swindell,
Anna Swindell and
Mollie Swindell

Pallbearers will be Jerry Grantland, Ronald Grantland, Gary Grantland, Harvey Bowling, Nathan Collier, David Swindell, Jonathan Swindell and Terry Glover

2 Timothy 4:8 — Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.
