James Woodrow Nichols, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, April 21.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris T. Nichols; son, Richard Nichols; brother-in-law, Billy Turner; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Mr. Nichols is a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a 29 year Veteran of Huntsville Fire and Rescue. James was an active member of his church.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 29 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow directly after at 2 p.m. with Paul Owens officiating. Interment will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
