Mr. James Willis Dendy of Arab, Alabama; transitioned and enetered the Gates of Heaven on the 23rd day of March 2022 at the age of 88 years.
Mr. Dendy was born on December 22, 1933 in Marshall County, Alabama to Vernon Dendy and Lucille Kilgore Dendy. Mr. Dendy served with the United States Air Force and took up Administration with NASA. Mr. Dendy enjoyed traveling, especially out West and was a big fan of The Atlanta Braves as well as Alabama Football. He was a member of the Mount Hermon Baptist Church and attended the Union Grove First Baptist Church.
Mr. Dendy leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce his life; son, Phillip Dendy; daughter, Cathy Brooks (Tim); sister, Maureen Wanko; grandchildren, Angela Brooks, Aaron Dendy and Corey Dendy; as well as 5 great grandchildren.
Mr. Dendy is at last reunited with his beloved; wife, Frances Evaneel Edmondson Dendy; parents, Vernon Dendy and Lucille Kilgore Dendy; sister, Dean Stephenson; grandson, Brandon Brooks and one great grandchild.
Graveside Service and Interment will take place at Arab Memorial Cemetery in Arab, Alabama on Friday – March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Greg Narrell, officiating.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Dendy to his final resting place will be: Tim Brooks, Greg Narrell, Don Fleming and Paul Wanko.
