Mr. James William Owen, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at the age of 82.
James was born August 1937 in Maury County TN. He was the youngest child to Edward and Katie Owen. On December 1956 he married Beverly Grooms. They raised three children.
James was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a skilled electrician and he was an ordained minister. He was a caring, creative, and generous man who had great compassion for others. He loved to read, and do carpentry work and was always ready to help whenever someone needed his assistance.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, his three children, Sandra (David), Julie (Mike), and James(Renee), his grandchildren Jessie, Lauren, Alex, Nathan, and Sara, and his great grandchildren Braden, Griggs, Lucy, and Owen.
He also is survived by brother, Philip Owen and sisters, Jean Logue, Joann Walden.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:00am at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Nathan Owen officiating. There will not be any visitation. The burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
