Funeral Services for James William McDowell, age 77 of Hanceville, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Grove Congregational Cemetery in Hanceville.

Mr. McDowell was born on June 29, 1938 and passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Aitery Mae Michael McDowell; his wife, Dorothy McDowell.
Survivors include 2 – Daughters – Debbie (David) Fobar & Michelle McDowell; 2 – Sons – Jeff McDowell & Rick (Sherry) McDowell; 2 – Sisters – Wiladean (Hershall) Wilson & Imogene (Joe) Parker; 5 – Grandchildren – Leann McDowell, Ricky McDowell, Jake McDowell, Brian Fobar & Nicole Fobar.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.
