James William Hill, age 89, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Hill was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an accomplished musician and loved playing the guitar. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed very much by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Daniel Hill; mother, Melba Seal Hill; and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 69 years, Edna Mitchell Hill; son, Jim Hill (Vickie); grandchildren, Jennifer Whatley (Chris), Jamie Hill (Linda), Jacob Hill (Sara); great-grandchildren, Abby Whatley and Colin Whatley; one brother; and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, Monday, January 13, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Jacob Wallace will officiate the service. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens
The pallbearers will be Jamie Hill, Jacob Hill, Chris Whatley, Jimmy Taylor, and Colin Whatley.
