James William Franks, 80, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Justin Wall officiating. Interment will be in Roden Cemetery, Town Creek.
James was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Anna Lee Franks; son, Timothy James Franks; and grandchildren, Ashley Brooke Minor and Bradley Scott Franks.
James is survived by his children, Eva Hill (Andy), Debra Minor (Randy), Scott Franks (Karen), and Malcom Franks; 13 grandchildren, Dawn Moreland (Keith), Lori Hill (Blake), Tasha Jefferies, Kyle Franks, Colby Franks, Kelsie Southward (Jarvis), James Franks, Danny Franks, Devin Franks, Haidin Franks, TJ Franks (Kayla), Brittney Isbell (Brett), and Tasha Kelly (Josh); and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Franks, Danny Franks, Kane Moreland, Keith Moreland, Blake Hill, Jarvis Southward, Devin Franks, and Colby Franks.
