James William Coomer, age 83 of Franklin, TN passed away August 31, 2019. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. A graduate of Cumberland High School, MTSU, and Nashville School of Law. An engineer and contract manager with AVCO Corp., Dept. of Economic Development for the State of Tennessee, Heil Quaker/ICP, and Heatcraft. Preceded in death by parents, Charles W. and Dorothy Hopkins Coomer. Survived by: wife, Colleen Lewis Coomer of Franklin, TN; sons, David “Bruce” (Cindy) Coomer of Dayton, OH and Charles Lewis “Charlie” Coomer of Acworth, GA; daughter, Judith Coomer “Judy” (Lane) Foster of Franklin, TN; brother, Charles Edward “Eddie” Coomer of Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren, David (Amanda) Coomer, Courtney (Jon) Hobstetter, Addie, Sophie, and Ellie Foster; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Claire Coomer and Wesley Hobstetter. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Steve Blackman officiating. Entombment will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens Remembrance Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Heritage Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Heritage Church of Christ or Alive Hospice.
