James William “Bill” Harrison, age 88 of Cherokee, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2017. His visitation will be Tuesday, August 29th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. George Henley and Col. Gerald Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Bill was a native of Shiloh, Tn. He was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church and a retired service technician for a small propane gas department. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Novada; daughter, Lissa; parents, Carl and Flora; and four brothers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle to many. He will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by daughters, Doris Ingle (Benny), Seena Harrison, Ruby Smith (Ray); sister, Grace Boggs; grandchildren, Jay, David, and Benny Ingle, Mallory Watkins, Chelsea Branscome; great-grandchildren, Lynda, Vanessa, Dylan, Halie, Benny, Teagan, Olivia, and Meredith; great-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Daniel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
