James William “Big John” Fisher, age 74, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his residence.
Big John was an ironworker for many years and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. He was a loving father and a special grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Jim Lumpkin will officiate the service. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lee Fisher; parents, James Houston Fisher & Edna Mae Guiest Fisher; brother, Charley Fisher; and sister, Louise Daniels.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Harold Fisher (wife, Darline); daughter, Sandra Willbanks (husband, Johnny); grandchildren, Darlina Holcomb, Emily Gann, Krystal Berry, Sara Fisher, Shane Willbanks, Justin Willbanks, Casey Willbanks; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Stonecipher, Rosie Wright, Joyce Coggins, Cathy Smith; brothers, Earl Fisher, Claude Fisher, Billy Fisher, Gene Fisher; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Shane Willbanks, Justin Willbanks, Casey Willbanks, Brandon Gann, Blake Berry, James Aycock, Shane Holcomb, and Dan Coggins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Dialysis Center in Sheffield, as well as to the office of Dr. Dorene Morris for the love and care of our family.
