James Wendell Box, age 55, of Florence, Alabama, died, Wednesday, December 24, 2014. The visitation will be Saturday from 10-11:30a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will follow at 11:30a.m. in the chapel. Mark Maybrey and Gary Cosby, Fire Chaplain, will be officiating. Interment will be in Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Mr. Box was a Florence Firefighter for 25 years and a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. He was an avid Alabama fan, loved to hunt, fish, cook and watch Nascar.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sarah Box; mother, Sue Box; father, Thomas Box; brother, Greg Box and wife Sherry; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Patterson, Steve Siegal, Keith McDaniel, Rob Joiner, Keith Joiner, Michael Angel, Booney Marks, and Jared Box.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas McIntyre, David Creasy and Dr. Ricky Irons.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Heights Community Cemetery.
