James-Hobbs-1462374463James Warden Hobbs of Waynesboro, TN, was born December 19, 1935 in Carroll Co., TN, the son of the late Hobert and Gela Marie Russell Hobbs. He was united in marriage to Elsie Wilburn on July 12, 1957.

Mr. Hobbs was a retired Aircraft Maintenance Officer after 20 years with the
U. S. Air Force and was a member of the baptist faith. He was an avid golfer and departed this life on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 4 Months, 15 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Wilburn Hobbs and a son, Michael Hobbs both of Waynesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Jimmy Hobbs and wife ,Chelsie, Krystal (Hobbs) Bradford and husband, Daniel and Kelsie Hite; nine Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Hobbs Hite and a sister, Edith Collie Hobbs Anderson.

Services will be Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Shayne Riley officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Havanna Cemetery in Hardin County, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, May 6, 2016 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wayne Hobbs, Daniel Bradford, David Collie, Steve Collie, Mark Collie and Jon Collie. Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Bradford, Tanner Hobbs, Travis Hobbs, Braylon Griffith and Andy Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Butterfly Foundation, Waynesboro, TN or Operation Homefront, 1355 Central Parkway S., Ste. 100, San Antonio, TX 78232
