James W. Griffin, age 85 of Sumiton, Al passed away on Sunday, December 03, 2023 at Princeton Hospital. Funeral Service will be 6:00 pm Friday, December 08,2023 at Bell Sumiton Chapel Visitation will be one hours prior to the service at Bell Sumiton Chapel.
After James retired from Phillips Drill he loved to ride his motorcycle with his wife of 66 years. James volunteered at Sumiton Christian School helping in the kitchen.
James is preceded in death by son; Ricky James Griffin, daughter; Diana Lynn Piper, son; Ronald Will Griffin, brother; Theron Griffin, sister; Mary Annette Phillips, brother; Perry Griffin, sister; Becky Peek.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Thelma Griffin, daughter; Dina Pittman (George), son; Randel Griffin (Teri), sister; Martha Sheets, Jackie Thomas (Terry), Betty Whatley (Steve), Pegi Defoor, Evelyn Martin (Norman), brother; Terry Griffin (Rita), with a host of grands and great grands, and other friends and relatives.
