James Troy Chandler – Obituary

James Troy Chandler was born July 23, 1928 in Stantonville, TN the son of the late Carl Edward and Lucy Mae Templeton Chandler.

He was united in marriage to ImogeJamesne Pratt on March 20, 1953. Mrs. Chandler preceded him in death on September 11, 2012.

Mr. Chandler was a man who enjoyed life and serving others. His years of service were spent serving his country in the United States Army and then the City of Memphis for 31 years with the fire department retiring as captain. He was an expert horseman and trainer of quarter horses.

After retirement, he along with his bride of 59 years, spent time traveling in their RV looking for the next lake or river to drop a hook in.

Mr. Chandler departed this life on October 4, 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 11 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Jan Morgan (Don) of Germantown, TN, Vicky McDaniel (Michael) of Knoxville, TN;son, David Chandler (Melinda) of Olive Branch, MS; brother, Billie Chandler (Sarah) of Olive Branch, MS; 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Pratt Chandler; brother, Edward Garvin Chandler.
