James Thomas Deaton, 87 of Huntsville, passed away on July 18, 2022.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Reba Carr Deaton; his children, Deborah Hovis, Douglas Deaton (Joan), and Rebecca Bradford; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Ninnie Deaton; his sister, Myra Joyce Deaton; and his grandson, Jonathan Hovis.
He is retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command and was a member of East Huntsville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2022 at Berryhill Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
The family requests mask be worn.
