James Thomas Dabbs, 68 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, October 27th, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Dabbs was born on January 17th, 1952, to James H. Dabbs and Mary “Kelly” Dabbs.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dabbs will be on Saturday, October 31st, at 1:00pm at First United Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Bruce Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th, from 6:00-8:00pm at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Dabbs is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Dabbs; daughters Pamela Jernigan of Sheffield, Felicia Macomber (Ken) of Huntsville, and Cassandra Dabbs of Athens; sisters Peggy Bertoldi of Lacey Springs, Wanda Glover (Phil) of Lacey Springs, and Shirley Johnson (Dale) of Hartselle; brothers Bobby Dabbs (Kathy) of Lacey Springs, Donnie Dabbs (Ann) of Huntsville, and Ronnie Dabbs of Huntsville; grandchildren Megan Thornton, Jordon Sneath, Jamie Jenkins, Chastity Sneath, Sadie Saxon, Devyn Dabbs, and Alanna Cuarezma.
Preceded in death by his parents James H. and Mary “Kelly” Dabbs; and sister Carrie Thomas.
Mr. Dabbs served in the United States Army.
