Mr. James Terry Canady
Terry Canady, 75, of McCalla, formerly of Albertville, passed away at home, on August 23rd, 2018 following an extended illness. The celebration of Terry’s life will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 26th at Adams-Brown Funeral Home in Albertville, Alabama. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. Burial will take place at Memory Hill immediately following the service.
Preceded in death by parents Verbon and Mary Canady and brother Roger Canady.
Survivors include; His wife Nell (Morrow) Canady, son James Maurice “Mo” (Kim) Canady of Hoover, Alabama, daughter Ginger Canady of Niceville, Florida, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, brothers Charlie (Ann) Canady and Neal (Patsy) Canady.
Terry was a successful career banker in the Albertville/Boaz area his entire adult life until his retirement. He was past president of the Civitan’s, past-president of the Aggie Band Boosters, and served six years on the Albertville City School Board.
Terry was a Deacon and then an Elder at North Broad Street Church of Christ. He was a tremendous song leader from the time he was a teenager through his adult life. He had a beautiful tenor voice and loved singing gospel music, especially in quartets. He was a member of Palisades Church of Christ at the time of his death.
The Celebration of Life will be officiated by Tommy Dozier, James Dudley, Ray Bruner and Gary Bradley Jr.
