Mr. James Russell Tripp Jr., age 67 of Lineville, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at his home. There are no services planned at this time.
Driving was not just a job for James-it was his calling. His passion for trucking was evident to all who knew him. He was also a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
He is survived by three daughters; Mary Katherine Tripp, Laine Tomlin (Kim), and Graice Hanner (Steven); 8 grandchildren: Kayla, Jalon, Haley, Harley, Constance, Madelyn, Austin, and Olivia Blair; one great-grandchild, Alaya Claire; two sisters Terry Dickinson and Stormy Wolfe; Heather Ratley, Patrick Ratley and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Ann Ratley Tripp; his father James Russell Tripp, Sr; stepmother Helen Tripp; mother Lula Bell McKehan; brother in law, Joe Ratley; parents in law John and Mary Ratley; and one sister Pamela Erickson.
James will be deeply missed by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn his passing.
