James Russell Smith, 68, Huntsville, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Earl Smith. He is survived by his wife, Judy Fitzgerald Smith; daughter, Laura Stack (Jay) ; son, Joseph Stack (Quartney); mother, Dorothy J. Smith of Albany, GA; sister, Bonnie Tyler (David) of Thomaston, GA; three grandchildren; one niece; one nephew. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm. Dr. Bill Etheridge will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
