James Roy Walker age 85 of Florence passed away Thursday May 30, 2013. Memorial services will be held private.
James was preceded by his parents James L. Walker and Clyde Lorene Walker.
He is survived by his wife of 63yrs, Louise Stanford Walker. One son, James R. Walker Jr. and wife Holly. Three daughters; Brenda Medley, Carole “Cookie” Michelsen and husband Gary and Marcia Ellis and husband George III. Seven grandchildren; Brent Medley, Kimberly Craft and husband Stefan, Brooke Edie and husband Rob, George Ellis IV and wife Amy, Cy Ellis and wife Mollie, Meghan Walker, and Houston Walker. Seven great grandchildren; Chase Edie, Layne Edie, Allysia Edie, Julia Edie, Kaitlin Craft, Jaxan Craft and Zoe Ellis. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Walker served in the United States Navy during World War II.
